Vo svete som ja žil zmorený ťarchou vín, z tajomstva kríža nič nevedel. Zmenil Boh žitia smer, Golgotský kríž som zrel, z neho žiarilo svetlo nebeské.
Translation: In the world I lived tormented by the weight of guilt, knowing nothing of the mystery of the cross. God changed the direction of life, The cross of Golgotha I have seen, The light of heaven shone from it.

Pod krížom Golgotským Pán Boh ma osvietil, ťarchu hriechov Sám Ježiš mi sňal, viera v kríža znak vrátila mi zrak, môj život sa radostným stal.
Translation: Under the cross of Golgotha The Lord God enlightened me, The weight of my sins Jesus Himself took away, Faith in the sign of the cross restored my sight, My life became joyful.

V slepote myslel som, žiadnym že zázrakom nemožno život môj premeniť. Udial sa zázrak ten, prchla tma, svitol deň, v Pána Ježiša smel som uveriť.
Translation: In blindness I thought, By no miracle my life could not be transformed. The miracle happened, The darkness fled, the day dawned, I could believe in the Lord Jesus.

Stratil sa smútok, žiaľ, každý deň pieseň chvál plní už srdce vyliečené, lebo ma vedie Pán, ktorý rád zomieral, pre mňa vydobyl plné spasenie.
Translation: The sorrow, the grief, was lost, Every day a song of praise fills now the healed heart, For the Lord leads me, Who was glad to die, For my sake has won for me full salvation.
